The Daytona Beach Department of Applied Aviation Sciences offers four unique Bachelor of Science programs: Air Traffic Management, Aviation and Aerospace Safety, Meteorology and Space Operations. Each program is designed to prepare students for challenging and rewarding careers in the aviation, atmospheric, aerospace and related industries, focusing on roles beyond piloting.
State-of-the-Art Facilities
Students have access to cutting-edge facilities, including high-definition simulators for air traffic control, a realistic mission control lab for simulating both satellite console operations as well as rocket launches, an aviation forensics lab for investigation of aircraft accidents and a meteorology lab equipped with an industry-standard broadcast studio and specialized forecasting tools. These resources ensure graduates are well-prepared with practical experience using advanced technology.
