Grant Options
Federal and State Grants are available to U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are enrolled in a degree-seeking program. To remain eligible, you must make satisfactory academic progress and not be in default or owe a repayment on a grant or loan. Please review each grant for specific requirements. A Federal Pell Grant, unlike a loan, does not have to be repaid. Federal Pell Grants are usually awarded only to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor's or a professional degree. - : Award amounts can change yearly. In certain situations, an eligible student can receive up to 150 percent of his or her scheduled Pell Grant.
To qualify, students must be undergraduates seeking their first bachelor’s degree and display exceptional financial need.

- Eligibility is based on the student’s (SAI) from the FAFSA, their cost of attendance and their enrolled hours each term.
- Pell Grants are available for all eligible students.
- (LEU): Students can receive the Pell Grant for no more than 12 full-time semesters or the equivalent (roughly six academic years). Students will receive a notice if they are getting close to their limit.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
To qualify, students must be undergraduates seeking their first bachelor’s degree and display exceptional financial need.

- Federal Pell Grant recipients receive priority.
- Funds are limited. When funds have been exhausted, no additional FSEOG offers will be made. Amounts range from $100 to $4,000 per year.

Florida programs are for Florida residents only. Other states provide financial assistance programs to students who are residents attending school in any state.
State grant programs from Delaware, Maryland, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont make grant amounts available to students who are residents attending school in any state. For information on grant amounts from these states, please contact your state's Department of Higher Education or the Embry-Riddle Financial Aid Office.
Arizona grants are only available to Arizona residents attending Arizona colleges and universities. Arizona students must submit the FAFSA, be Federal Pell Grant eligible and maintain SAP. Award amounts vary, up to $2,500/year; however, most awards are approximately $1,200/year. Funding is extremely limited, so not every eligible student receives this grant. Florida programs are only available to Florida residents attending Florida colleges and universities. Florida residents attending the Daytona Beach campus should visit the Daytona Beach Grants website for state grant information.

Embry-Riddle University Grant
- To apply, submit the FAFSA and complete all tasks (To-Do List items) on ERNIE. Students must demonstrate exceptional financial need to receive an offer. Amounts vary. The grant is renewable if satisfactory academic progress (SAP) is maintained.
Embry-Riddle Sibling Grant
- To apply, indicate on your admission application that you have a sibling attending Embry-Riddle as an undergraduate residential student. The FAFSA is not required. The grant amount is $3,500 per year and is renewable for up to four years if satisfactory academic progress (SAP) is maintained. Full-time undergraduate residential campus enrollment for both siblings will be confirmed prior to disbursement.
- To apply, indicate on your admission application that you are a son or daughter of an Embry-Riddle alum. Students must be enrolled full-time in an approved undergraduate program. International students are not eligible. The FAFSA is not required. The grant amount is $1,500 per year and is automatically renewable for up to four years if satisfactory academic progress (SAP) is maintained.
- Do you know an Embry-Riddle alum? An alum can endorse an incoming student prior to their first semester. International students are not eligible. Students receiving the Golden Eagle or Diamond Eagle Scholarship are also ineligible. The FAFSA is not required. The grant amount is $1,000 per year and is automatically renewable for up to four years if satisfactory academic progress (SAP) is maintained. Deadline to apply is Aug. 1.
