Applying to Embry-Riddle as an Undergraduate Transfer Student
For purposes of admission, a transfer student is defined as any student who has earned college credit after graduating from high school.
Applicants include U.S. citizens and eligible residents (Daytona Beach, Prescott and Worldwide & Online campuses), and Singaporean citizens or permanent residents studying in Singapore (Asia Campus). Admissions Requirements
All undergraduate transfer student applicants must meet the admissions requirements outlined below. These requirements apply across campuses unless otherwise noted. Some campuses or programs may have additional considerations, such as flight preparation, document submission methods or international evaluation requirements. You’ll find those details in each campus tab.
Embry-Riddle considers each application for transfer admission individually, reviewing the student’s academic record, grades received in all college-level courses and the rigor of the student’s academic program.
Admission criteria may vary by program. Be sure to check out our for full requirements. Technical programs, in particular, may require additional coursework, a higher GPA, supplemental documentation or other specific qualifications.
Documentation Requirements

- Application for admission
- Non-refundable application fee
- Official transcripts from all accredited degree-granting colleges and universities (postsecondary institutions) attended
- Military transcripts and documents, if applicable
- Official high school transcript or equivalent (GED®, HiSET®, or TASC®) may be required
- Optional Items:

The admission and enrollment process varies by campus. Please submit only one application to Embry‑Riddle. If you’re still deciding which campus is right for you, our staff can provide guidance and help you update or resubmit your application if needed.

Credit Exemptions at Embry-Riddle Asia
Credit exemptions allow students to be exempted from specific course modules or requirements based on their previous academic achievements or professional experience. These exemptions acknowledge that students have already acquired the necessary knowledge or skills in a particular subject area, allowing them to focus on more advanced or specialized coursework.
Review the current Embry-Riddle Asia exemption list to see how your prior coursework may apply toward your degree.
Credit exemptions involve a thorough evaluation of a student's transcripts, certificates or other supporting documentation. Embry‑Riddle will review these materials to determine if the prior learning or professional experience aligns with the degree requirements the student is pursuing. Credit exemptions are made on a case-by-case basis.
Polytechnic Credit Exemptions
Most students holding a polytechnic diploma will receive at least 30 credit exemptions; however, many are eligible for more. The average number of exemptions a polytechnic diploma holder receives at Embry‑Riddle is 45 credits.
Embry‑Riddle has established articulation agreements with several institutes of higher learning in Singapore and the surrounding region.
- The applicants will be accepted based on their merits on a case-by-case basis. Apart from academic achievements, considerations will also be given to factors like areas of study, maturity of the applicant and demand for a particular program.
- The number of credits (or period of advanced standing) to be granted/awarded to the applicants will also depend on the average grades obtained.
- Polytechnic courses are considered for Embry-Riddle credit exemption with a grade of C or higher.
- Polytechnic Diploma course under consideration for exemption must cover a minimum of 75% of the equivalent Embry-Riddle course. This determination will be made by Embry-Riddle and is subject to change as course content at either institution is changed.
