Ready When You Are
Your path here wasn't a detour — it was preparation. Whether you've been working, serving or raising a family, Embry-Riddle is here when you're ready.Applying to Embry-Riddle as a High School Graduate
Embry-Riddle recognizes that full-time employment, military service, the care of dependents or personal circumstances often interrupt a student's academic journey. If your academic career has been interrupted for any of these reasons, Embry-Riddle considers you a nontraditional applicant.
As a nontraditional applicant, we understand that your high school academic record may not fully reflect your ability. An official high school transcript — or its equivalent (GED®, HiSET® or TASC®) — will be required for consideration of admission.
Nontraditional students often have other sources of credit to be reviewed during the admission process and are advised to submit all documentation for possible transfer or advanced standing credit prior to admission. This includes — but is not limited to — credit from military sources, national exams, FAA licenses or ratings (or the foreign equivalent) or other documented learning. Use our Transfer Portal to evaluate sources of possible credit.
For applicants with educational experience outside of the United States, refer to the International Admissions requirements.
Admission criteria may vary by program. Be sure to check out our for full requirements. Technical programs, in particular, may require additional coursework, a higher GPA, supplemental documentation or other specific qualifications.
The admission and enrollment process varies by campus. Please submit only one application to Embry‑Riddle. If you’re still deciding which campus is right for you, our staff can provide guidance and help you update or resubmit your application if needed.
