As Embry-Riddle marks its 100th anniversary, I’m pleased to share some of the accomplishments that your support made possible over the past year — and how your passion and backing can help further our upward trajectory and shape our next century.

A Strong Investment

Embry-Riddle has secured significant external funding while attracting transformational private gifts to support our students and help us recruit visionary faculty. In just the past year:

• Fellow Trustee Kenn Ricci, his wife, Pamela, and their family have endowed two faculty chairs that will attract top talent and drive innovation to meet tomorrow’s challenges in aviation and aerospace.
• The state of Florida has provided Embry-Riddle with $26.5 million in funding for a hypersonics innovation ecosystem, a new area of focus for the university.
• NASA has tapped Embry-Riddle to lead a $6 million project to advance the safety of next-generation aircraft.

Top Rankings, Positive Enrollment, and Signature Programs

Embry-Riddle’s top rankings in key fields reflect the strength and value of our degrees, as we advance industry-relevant programs that prepare career-ready students.

• Our Aerospace Engineering programs continue to be ranked among the nation’s elite, claiming the No. 4 spot nationwide for doctoral-granting schools and the No. 1 spot for schools without doctoral programs, according to the latest U.S. News & World Report review of best colleges.
• The residential campuses hold ten top-10 rankings, including for overall quality, innovation, and being among the best for veterans.
• The Worldwide Campus’ online bachelor’s degree programs are ranked highest among private institutions and among the top 15 nationally.
• A record 10,121 new students have joined us across campuses for the 2025-2026 academic year, bringing total enrollment to more than 31,000 students globally.
• The Federal Aviation Administration has fast-tracked the hiring of our Air Traffic Management graduates through its Enhanced Air Traffic Collegiate Training Initiative.

Expanding Across the Globe

The Worldwide Campus is expanding in the Middle East and Asia, two regions experiencing rapid growth in aviation. For example, Dubai-based aerospace engineering firm Sanad has partnered on a professional certification program for its employees.

Top Student Talent

Our Eagles are distinguishing themselves in elite competitions. This includes a student team placing No.1 in NASA’s Human Lander Challenge and the Golden Eagles Flight Team winning its 16th championship. They are also earning prestigious scholarships. Four students were named to Aviation Week Network’s 20 Twenties Class of 2025, the most of any university.

Transformations at Residential Campuses

At the Prescott Campus, construction continues on a new residence hall and student union, which will anchor a revamped campus quadrangle. A new residence hall is also underway at the Daytona Beach Campus, featuring a second garage that can convert into an aircraft hangar during severe weather.

Launching Successful Industry Partnerships

From global leaders to cutting-edge startups, Embry-Riddle’s Research Park, in Daytona Beach, is a tech hub that serves as an economic engine and a key source of high-paying jobs. There we recently celebrated a milestone: the opening of the Boeing Engineering Center in the Cici & Hyatt Brown Center for Aerospace Technology. New players, ranging from an Italian aerospace company to a financial tech firm, have also established a footprint at the MicaPlex this past year.

Exploring New Frontiers, and Serving Those Who Serve

When NASA’s ESCAPADE mission launched last November, instruments designed by our students were aboard the twin satellites destined for Mars. During the government shutdown, Embry-Riddle provided $1.5 million in emergency funding to military students affected by the suspension of tuition assistance programs.

Game-Changing Athletics Program

We are creating a best-in-class environment where our student-athletes can succeed at the highest levels. Our women’s rowing team made university history, taking the first team title in our NCAA II era.

From Celebrating Our First Century to Imagining What’s Next

We are deeply grateful to all our donors for their tremendous support of Embry-Riddle. Together, we have achieved a lot.

As Embry-Riddle marks its centennial, my fellow trustees and I have spent much time discussing with leadership how to keep Embry-Riddle at the forefront. Our vision seeks to further transformative learning, accelerate pioneering research, and increase scholarship support for our students, who are poised to become the next generation of leaders in aerospace, science, engineering, industry, and government.
