AABI Criterion 3.2.4 Public Information: Each AABI-accredited aviation program must provide reliable information to the public on student success in the program, at least annually. The following Student Achievement Data must appear in easily accessible locations including public program websites:

  • The Program Educational Goals of each accredited program, as publicly published, and how these Program Educational Goals are assessed by the program.
  • Student retention and graduation rates, including the number of degrees produced each year, the percentage of students enrolled one year after starting the program, and the percentage of bachelor’s students graduating within six years.

Objectives of Accredited Program

Program Mission

The Aeronautical Science Degree Program educates and trains professional pilots for productive careers and leadership roles in the aviation industry. The coupling of cutting-edge technology with exceptional faculty and staff creates an educational experience specifically designed to develop and hone industry-leading skills.

AABI General Criteria (a-k)

AABI Aviation Core Criteria

  • Describe the professional attributes, requirements or certifications, and planning applicable to aviation careers.
  • Describe the principles of aircraft design, performance and operating characteristics; and the regulations related to the maintenance of aircraft and associated systems.
  • Evaluate aviation safety and the impact of human factors on safety.
  • Discuss the impact on aviation operations of international aviation law, including applicable International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) or other international standards and practices; and applicable national aviation law, regulations and labor issues.
  • Explain the integration of airports, airspace, and air traffic control in managing the National Airspace System.
  • Discuss the impact of meteorology and environmental issues on aviation operations.

The mission of the Aviation Business Administration (ABA) Program is to educate and prepare the next generation of business leaders in the aviation industry through superior teaching and mentoring. We create a student-centered educational experience emphasizing problem-based experiential learning with industry clients and projects to develop graduates capable of leading future innovation in the aviation and aerospace industries.

Program Mission Statement

The mission of the Cyber Intelligence and Security Department is to prepare students to meet the changing challenges faced by corporate and public organizations to identify, respond, mitigate and improve their posture against cyber threats, as well as make satisfactory progress in graduate programs in cyber security or a related field.

Our graduates will demonstrate strong analytical, design, and implementation skills required to formulate and solve complex cyber security problems in a professional or research environment and demonstrate effective communication, collaboration, and continuous learning as ethically and socially responsible cyber security professionals.

The program partners with advisory board and aligns with nationally recognized frameworks (NICCS, NSA/DHS, and ABET-Cyber) to measure effective coverage of the common body of knowledge for the profession.

Program Mission

The Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examination program at ERAU-Prescott addresses the growing international demand for skilled forensic accountants and fraud examiners. The degree combines coursework in accounting, business, law, psychology, crime scene investigation, and computer science. We provide a superior level of teaching and mentoring, leading to graduates capable of applying the science of forensics to financial statement analysis; use computer skills in fraud detection and prevention; demonstrate knowledge in collecting and examining evidence; and understand the ethical and legal responsibilities of preventing and detecting fraud. Program Outcomes

Program Mission Statement: The goal of the Bachelor of Science in Forensic Psychology program is to develop professionals trained in the science of human behavior and mental processes as they apply to the civil, legal, and criminal environments. Students will gain a thorough understanding of the basic approaches to behavioral/cognitive science, the U.S. legal system, the role of social, cultural, and organizational contexts in human behavior/attitudes, and how these tools can be used to understand, evaluate, and predict human behavior in a variety of situations. Students in the Forensic Psychology program will demonstrate mastery of the science of psychology as it applies to the civil, legal, and criminal spheres. Students will be prepared both for advanced graduate education and to enter the workforce in multiple capacities: in HR or personnel evaluation roles, as part of personnel assessment development groups, as civil/military teams charged with enhancing our understanding of human cognition/behavior with an eye toward enhancing security and safety, etc.

 


Bachelor of Science in Global Business and Supply Chain Management

Program Mission

The mission of the Global Business and Supply Chain Management program is to prepare students with the knowledge of the global context of business with the understanding and critical skills in global logistics and supply chain management. The program is designed for certificate opportunities in global business, supply chain and program management providing graduates with the tools to immediately take leadership roles as a global logistics and supply chain manager in the aviation and non-aviation business, government and not-for-profit sectors. Through a challenging, experiential and team-based curriculum, the courses are taught by internationally-experienced faculty focused on the rising role of emerging markets and the complexity of global supply chain issues. Emphasis is placed on technological change, the interdisciplinary nature of supply chain management and the growing importance of the security of the supply chain. 

As part of the curriculum, students will participate in industry outreach field studies and networking events, guest lectures by industry professionals and trade education conferences. Students will also get first-hand consulting experience in providing global marketing plans and global business-expansion strategies for companies expanding overseas. In addition, students are highly encouraged and receive course credit to supplement their classroom experience with industry internships and study abroad opportunities.

Program Mission Statement

The Global Security and Intelligence Studies Bachelor of Science degree program is designed for students whose goal is to serve as a security or intelligence professional in the national civilian intelligence community, the diplomatic service, military intelligence, diplomatic security, law enforcement and investigations, corporate security, global corporate strategy and risk analysis, nongovernmental organizations, multilateral organizations, and international financial institutions. The academic courses are designed, within an integrated liberal arts and technical training framework, to introduce the student to history and politics in the global sense of the words, including world and U.S. history and the role of security and intelligence issues within international affairs. Skills-based courses seek to impart the practical knowledge necessary for professional success in these areas, particularly in the sector of investigations, risk analysis, international relations, and security operations.

Specific competencies include the ability to identify and critically evaluate complex written texts across the many disciplines included in the fields of security and intelligence studies, an ability to imagine and analyze scenarios and present effective and convincing arguments in both oral and written form, a comfort in the language and practice of international geography and affairs, an appreciation and understanding of the world’s many cultures, intermediate knowledge of at least one foreign language, and an understanding of the ethical issues within the fields of security and intelligence studies.

The GSIS program prepares students for both direct entry into the professional fields and further education and training in graduate and professional schools. There are several major stakeholders in the overall success of the GSIS Program. First and foremost, the students who graduate will gain the knowledge and skill sets necessary for them to successfully compete to obtain entry-level or higher management jobs in security or intelligence. Secondly, the parents who have supported the students both financially and morally will know that their money and moral support were well invested in providing their children with both a sound college education and many professional employment opportunities. Third, security and intelligence organizations at the federal, state, and local level, private sector businesses and multinational corporations, security and intelligence firms, nongovernmental organizations, and multilateral political and economic institutions will have a source of well-educated, professionally knowledgeable applicants who are seeking careers in their organizations. Finally, the university administrators and faculty supporting the program will continue their scholarly and professional development in the fields of security and intelligence studies, particularly through curriculum development, pedagogical innovation, and active agendas for publication and presentation of original work. In so doing, they will thus impart to their students newly-created knowledge, both their own work and that of their professional colleagues, and they will be better prepared and credentialed for mentoring original student research in the fields of security and intelligence studies.

Program Mission Statement

The Bachelor of Science degree in Human Factors Psychology emphasizes human behavior, ergonomics, and human capabilities. The program seeks to develop a student with the capacity to design, conduct, and apply human factors research to the design of simple and complex systems. The goal of the program is to educate and graduate professionals who are equipped for employment as human factors specialists or to continue their education in graduate school.

Program Mission Statement

The Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Psychology & Safety provides the student with skills and knowledge for a career in workplace psychology/human resources, aviation safety, occupational safety, organizational training or related disciplines, and is normally completed in eight semesters. The program delivers an effective foundation in human behavior and cognition as it relates to safety and organizational effectiveness that prepares the student for a wide variety of organizational settings or for advanced study at the graduate level. The Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Psychology & Safety is designed to provide the student the following expertise:

Knowledge of basic psychological principles and theories, and how those are applied to the study of individuals and organizations, including the role of psychological constructs and research as they relate to the science and practice of safety.

Understanding of the breadth of application for the discipline of industrial psychology and safety, including personnel selection, group dynamics, leadership, human factors in organizational systems, occupational safety and product safety, as well as aviation safety and air accident investigation.

Ability to understand research processes, techniques and procedures and to draw appropriate conclusions from the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data.

Use of appropriate tools to understanding the performance of individuals and organizations from an evidence-based perspective and develop tools to improve both safety and organizational effectiveness.

The Meteorology program will prepare graduates for productive and rewarding careers in meteorology and the atmospheric sciences, aviation and the national defense forces of the United States. Students will be immersed in a career-focused experience through synergy with industry. Program Mission Statement

The Bachelor of Science in Simulation Science, Games and Animation degree teaches students the principles behind building virtual worlds and simulations by using mathematical algorithms and technologies underlying aviation simulators, computer-aided design (CAD) systems, animation software, streaming video networks and games. The program prepares students to be skilled in building the digital experiences of the future and to be leaders in this emerging and interdisciplinary field.

As a technical, multidisciplinary degree, students will take courses in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, animation, modeling, computer graphics, simulation and artificial intelligence. Aspects of art and design will complement the technical side of this degree.

Program Mission Statement: The mission of the Space Physics degree program is to prepare graduates for entry into astrophysics, particle physics, exotic propulsion, and other scientific fields related to space physics. Students will be prepared to apply for entry-level jobs in industry and national labs, or pursue their education at graduate programs offered by other universities.


Program Mission Statement

The Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) degree will provide the essential aeronautical, business, and legal knowledge and skills to obtain a successful career in UAS industry. Graduates will be prepared for successful careers as Remote Pilots in Command (PICs), observers, payload operators, and/or operational managers of governmental and private sector UAS applications. Experience will be gained in aerial data collection, secure operations, long duration operations, highly detailed operations, and autonomous operations. Graduates will be prepared to meet current industry requirements with an emphasis on future industry developments such as Beyond Visual Line-of-Sight (BVLOS) operations and the use of multiple small UAS at the same time.

Program Outcomes

  • Mission Planning and Execution: The students will demonstrate proper use of unmanned aircraft systems by formulating and executing safe and efficient mission plans while being able to adapt to adverse and emergency situations.
  • Media Exploitation: The students will compile imagery and other collected data from sensors used by several unmanned aircraft systems. Once collected, students will be able to create products that effectively utilize the data obtained using on-board sensors.
