While you may apply and be accepted up until the first day of classes, early application is strongly encouraged. Scholarships and housing are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
To request to change your major before enrolling, you must contact the Admissions Office. If you meet the admission requirements and space is available in the program you wish to switch to, your request will be granted.
No, it is not required for admissions. However, it is highly recommended and high scores will increase a student's chance of admission.
Students who have earned college credits after graduating from high school and before attending Embry-Riddle are considered transfer students.
Transfer credits will be accepted if they meet all the following criteria:
- Credits were obtained from an accredited institution
- A grade of C or better was achieved in the course
- The course description corresponds with the description of an equivalent course at Embry-Riddle
- The credits can be applied toward the desired degree program.
An official transfer credit evaluation will be conducted upon acceptance. Students planning to attend another college or university before enrolling at Embry-Riddle are encouraged to focus on general education courses, such as math, English, humanities, social sciences and physical sciences. Our can serve as a helpful reference, and students are encouraged to contact their admission counselor for guidance on transferring.

Coursework you’ve completed via Cambridge AS/A Levels, Dual Enrollment, Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) may be eligible for transfer credit. You can use our transfer portals to get a look at how your credits may transfer before you apply.
For credit to be awarded, test scores must be submitted to us from the testing agency and official college transcripts with final grades posted must be sent to us directly from the college for evaluation. We’ll also need a copy of your official final high school transcript reflecting graduation.
Both the essay and resume are optional and not required for admission to Embry-Riddle, but they will help much more within the admissions process and in obtaining scholarships.

The vast majority of students receive some form of financial aid. Financial Aid Office staff members work with you to identify the types of aid for which you may be eligible: federal and state grants, institutional and private scholarships, federal and alternative student loans, and campus jobs. Several convenient payment plans are also available to help spread out the cost of tuition, room and board, and other fees.
²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award degrees at the associate, baccalaureate, master's and doctoral levels. ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ may also offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.

Many Embry‑Riddle students come from a military background, and we recognize that you may have prior military training or experience you wish to have reviewed for possible credit. Embry-Riddle follows credit recommendations outlined by the American Council on Education (ACE) to determine if your prior experience can count toward your degree. Ask your admissions counselor for more information!
Costs vary depending on the academic program and campus you choose. Students pursuing a degree that requires flight training will incur additional expenses. Embry-Riddle remains one of the most affordable private universities for aviation and aerospace education.
Keep in mind that while private universities may have higher tuition than public institutions, that doesn't always mean higher out-of-pocket costs. Institutions with higher costs can often offer greater amounts of financial aid, which can make your final cost comparable, or even less.

International Student Questions
Here, you’ll find admissions questions and information for international student applicants. Reach out to our international admissions teams if you have any additional questions.Your admission decisions are based on your academic credentials and your proficiency in English. Once all required documentation is on file, the admissions offices will review applicants for their selected program.
All undergraduate and graduate applicants who have educational experience outside the United States are required to provide an official course-by-course evaluation in English that includes the cumulative grade-point average and U.S. degree equivalency, unless specifically exempted through a qualifying Embry-Riddle program. High school applicants may be required to have a document-by-document evaluation. Applicants with university credit will be required to have a course-by-course evaluation.
A copy of the foreign transcript must accompany the official credit evaluation. The evaluation must be certified by one of the Foreign Credential Evaluation Services (FCE) approved by Embry-Riddle. A fee is charged for the translation service and must be paid by the applicant directly to the FCE. The report is considered official only if mailed or electronically transmitted directly from the issuing agency to Embry-Riddle. Visit our for full details.
Instruction of ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ courses takes place in English. Applicants for whom English is not the primary language must demonstrate proof of English Language proficiency. Students must meet the minimum language proficiency criteria to be admitted and must submit documentation to verify proficiency from one of the sources listed in our . You may also contact your admissions counselor for additional details on how you can demonstrate proof of English Language Proficiency.
Health requirements for international students may vary depending on the campus you are attending.
Before arriving in the United States to attend one of our residential campuses, make sure you have completed the required medical report form. In addition, you must provide proof of required immunizations and a recent tuberculosis test. Please return all documents to Embry-Riddle Health Services. The policy is in place to protect you and the health of all students. Students who fail to comply will have a medical hold placed on their class registration and may be denied attendance pending completion of the requirements.
All students are required to carry health insurance during their enrollment at Embry-Riddle. The Daytona Beach and Prescott campuses offer international student health coverage that addresses most illnesses and injuries. Information on rates, coverage and waiver options can be found on the Health Services webpages. Worldwide & Online students are responsible for obtaining their own health insurance for the duration of their studies.
Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach and Prescott campuses are authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant students on F-1 and J-1 Visas. Embry-Riddle’s Worldwide Campus is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant students on F-1 Visas. Once admitted to the University, your designated PDSO/DSO will reach out with next steps. They can provide you with guidance on your visa interview, proof of funds, and immigration documentation needs to ensure seamless entry into the United States.
Daytona Beach and Prescott F-1 students holding a valid Embry-Riddle I-20 and enrolled in classes are eligible to work on campus. F-1 students are eligible to work up to 20 hours a week when classes are in session and up to 29 hours a week during breaks.
