Student Spotlight
Dr. Berezovski gave me real-world experience with industry and showed me the field where math intersects with national security. Without his guidance, I would not be where I am today."
The Department of Mathematics strongly urges entering students to thoroughly review all of the material presented in this website. Placement into an appropriate mathematics course requires your active participation.
Because our entering students have a wide variety of mathematical backgrounds and abilities, the Department of Mathematics offers a variety of mathematics courses for incoming freshmen. Our goal is the proper placement of each freshman into an appropriate mathematics course, based on each student's ability and program of study. We believe the responsibility of registering a student for the correct course is shared between the university and the student.
In order to meet these goals, we offer ALEKS Placement, Preparation and Learning (ALEKS PPL) to help properly place our students free of charge. For more information on ALEKS PPL and other placements, please visit the .
