Next Steps in the Admissions Process
As an applicant, you’ll gain instant access to Embry-Riddle’s Network for Information Exchange (). This is the system where you can monitor your admission documents and status, and it is the system you will continue to use as a student at Embry-Riddle.
By utilizing ERNIE and its features, you can stay informed and organized throughout your academic journey. Make sure to explore all that ERNIE has to offer and take full advantage of the tools available to support your success.
Follow the steps below to set up your ERNIE account.
Go to
Select "Activate Your Account"
Click "Next"
Enter your ERAU ID
Enter your last name
Enter your date of birth
Duo is a two-factor authentication system designed to add an extra layer of security to your Embry-Riddle account. With Duo two-factor authentication, your account is protected by something only you know (a password) and something you have (a device enrolled in Duo, typically a mobile phone).
We strongly recommend the mobile app as the most user-friendly option. However, other options are available.
How to Set Up Duo Authentication
Log in to or our pre-activation site.
Arrive at Duo Authentication screen.
Click "Start Setup."
Select your type of device and click "Continue." Jump to the section for the device you select.
Setting Up Duo on a Mobile Phone
We strongly recommend using Duo Authentication on a mobile phone.
Enter your phone number.
Check the box to confirm this is the correct number and click "Continue.
Select which type of phone you have. If you select “Other,” skip to the end — your device has been added!
Download the Duo Mobile app for your device. Once the app is installed, click “I have Duo Mobile installed.”
Follow the on-screen instructions to activate your Duo Mobile app.
You must grant access to the app to use the phone's camera, if prompted, to scan the QR code on screen.
Duo Authentication/Notification Options
Push: When authenticating using the Duo app, you may choose to have a push notification sent to your phone. Tapping this notification and accepting the authentication message will allow you to log in.
Passcode: Another option is to tap the "ݮƵ" entry within the app. This option will generate a six-digit code that you can type in (see Hardware Token section below). This method works even when no cellular or Wi-Fi signal is present; for example, if the phone is in Airplane Mode.
SMS/Text Messages: You will also have the option of receiving a batch of 10 SMS messages that can be used for authentication. You will be able to enter these into the Passcode field (see Hardware Token section below). To request SMS messages, select the "Enter a Passcode" option.
Call Me: Similar to a landline, you will be able to receive phone calls with a voice menu asking you to authenticate.
