Dr. Sean R. Crouse is an assistant professor of spaceflight operations in the Applied Aviation Sciences Department. He also serves as the associate director of the Center for Aerospace Resilient Systems (CARS), where he leads research in aviation and space system cybersecurity, simulation and data-driven resiliency.Â
Dr. Crouse holds a Ph.D. in Aviation and a Master's of Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle. Dr. Crouse’s research focuses on cybersecurity in space and aviation systems, particularly on anomaly detection, threat intelligence sharing, and resilient system design. He is the lead for the Annual ACI Cyber Rodeo and Capture-the-Flag events hosted at Embry-Riddle. Dr. Crouse is a proud veteran and father of three girls, with personal interests that include exploring the intersections of operational planning, risk management and emerging technologies. He remains committed to advancing the safety and security of aerospace systems through teaching, research and service.
