In this program, you'll build a strong foundation in aviation emergency management as well as fire and emergency services, with the option to select a specialization that aligns with your career goals.
If you choose the Aviation specialization, you will focus on aviation safety, airport emergency management and coordinated response to aircraft incidents. If you pursue the Fire and Emergency Services specialization, you will study fire behavior, suppression, prevention and leadership in public safety organizations.
The program is part of the Air University-Associate to Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC Category I). If you have an associate degree in Fire Science and Emergency Management from the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF), you can easily transition to this bachelor's program by completing no more than 60 semester hours beyond your CCAF degree.
To further boost your credentials, consider earning a certificate from the FEMA Emergency Management Institute's Professional Development Series (PDS), which offers insights into federal emergency management practices.
