A tool for alleviating pilot shortage: Recruitment of women and minorities into aviation

A global shortfall has been predicted to continue for pilots and aviation professionals, through at least 2030. One way to elevate the recruitment as well as retention of pilots in order to alleviate this problem is to increase the percentages of underrepresented communities, including women. The purpose of this research is to investigate the experience of female pilots and how to decrease the predicted shortage of pilots and aviation professionals by increasing the percentage of women and minorities.
