Tim Kiefer

Overview

Tim Kiefer is a seasoned aviation professional with over 22 years of experience as an FAA Certified Professional Air Traffic Controller, having served at Chicago Air Route Traffic Control Center (ZAU), O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Harry Reid International Airport (LAS). Tim has held key roles as a training specialist, training review board specialist, and national Integrated Safety Training Development and Instructor Team member throughout his career. Additionally, he was a facility OSHA Representative and team leader at the EAA's annual AirVenture (Oshkosh). 

Beyond air traffic control, Tim has a diverse background in aviation operations, having worked as an avionics technician in the U.S. Navy on the S-3B Viking aircraft and serving as operation supervisor with Signature Flight Support and Air Wisconsin Airlines. 

Holding a Private Pilot’s License and a Control Tower Operator Certification, Tim brings practical experience to aviation education.
