Nnaemeka Ekwunife

Overview

Dr. Nnaemeka Ekwunife holds a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) degree in Cybersecurity from Marymount University. He earned his master’s degree in Cybersecurity Studies from American Military University, an APUS institution, and his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science/Physics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He also possesses several cybersecurity-related certifications, including CISM, CISSP, CRISC, and CSSLP.

Currently residing in Raleigh, North Carolina, Dr. Ekwunife is originally from Nigeria. His hobbies include reading, playing table tennis and developing software programs. Passionate about teaching, he enjoys sharing his knowledge on topics within his expertise.

Dr. Ekwunife's wife is a veteran and a nurse practitioner who was stationed at Fort Liberty in Fayetteville, North Carolina. They have three children—a daughter and two sons—who keep him engaged when he is not working.

I am a results-driven cybersecurity professional with a strong foundation in the field since 2016. Prior to transitioning into cybersecurity, I worked as a full-time software engineer from 2005 to 2016. My expertise spans across various aspects of information technology, including risk management, governance, compliance, policy development, vulnerability assessment and mitigation, threat analysis, secure software development, reverse engineering, training, and education. I am committed to continuous learning and staying at the forefront of technology and cybersecurity trends.
