Dr. Lila Berger is a tenure-track assistant professor in the Human Factors and Behavioral Neurobiology Department. She obtained her Ph.D. in Human Factors and Human-Computer Interaction from Rice University and her MSc. from the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. Her masters work focused primarily on the detection and quantification of methodological problems associated with neuroimaging techniques used for astronauts, as well as the examination of novel magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques for this population. Her dissertation work focused on quantifying human error in the aviation industry.

Her current research interests primarily lie in the field of team science, including the investigation of teams operating in extreme environments, multi-team system dynamics and human-AI teamwork.
