Jill Legare

Overview

Dr. Jill Legare is an adjunct instructor in the General Education program. Dr. Legare holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism (1996), a Master's in History (1999),Ìýan MBA with a focus on HRM (2006) and a Doctorate in Education with a focus on Higher Education Administration (2013). 

Dr. Legare has been teaching and designing college-level courses in the fields of History, Business, Human Resources and Education for the past 25 years. Dr. Legare has co-authored five notable publications, including articles in The Journal of Competency-Based Education,ÌýJournal of Institutional Research, and The Refractive Thinker. Her works focus on online learning, sustainability in education, personalized learning, active teaching techniques, and environmentally sustainable business practices.

During her tenure at Embry-Riddle, Dr. Legare has worked with the General Education Department as an adjunct and in the VCL as a live tutor. Beyond her academic experience, Dr. Legare keeps an active lifestyle and enjoys playing all sports, traveling and playing the four and five string-electric bass guitars. Additionally, Dr. Legare has been studying Modern Greek for six years; she has studied Spanish for 10 years.
