Mr. Ervin Deck is an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Department of Aeronautics at the Worldwide Campus, where he has been teaching at the University since 1997. Mr. Deck holds a Master of Aeronautical Science and a Bachelor of Science, both from ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ. He worked as a senior aviation planner for 25 years, developing long-range plans for airports across North America and the Caribbean. After retiring from the U.S. Navy after a 30-year career, Mr. Deck worked for the University for 4 years as a center director. Mr. Deck’s naval career focused on air traffic control, where he worked as a controller for 15 years, and, following a commission, as a facility manager and an Air Traffic Control Officer. His long career included three tours aboard aircraft carriers and a one-year isolated tour in Antarctica. Beyond his scholarly and work achievements, Mr. Deck is an instrument-rated commercial pilot and a former airport manager.
