Cheryl L. Marcham, PhD, CIH, CSP, CHMM, FAIHA is an associate professor and program chair for the Master of Science in Occupational Safety Management program at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Worldwide. She has more than three decades of experience in industrial hygiene, occupational and environmental health and safety management across academic, regulatory and applied practice settings.
Dr. Marcham’s teaching and research focus on occupational safety, industrial hygiene, occupational exposure assessment, indoor environmental quality and bioaerosols. Her research has addressed issues such as electronic cigarette emissions and surface contamination, additive manufacturing emissions and the use of unmanned aircraft systems for remote exposure assessment. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international professional conferences.
She is an American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Distinguished Fellow and Distinguished Lecturer and has received multiple national awards recognizing her research, leadership and professional service, including the AIHA Henry F. Smyth Jr. Award and the AIHA President Award. In addition to her academic role, Dr. Marcham is actively engaged in professional service through leadership roles, technical committees and the development of national guidance documents that support the advancement of the occupational and environmental health and safety profession.
