Dr. Caitlin Martin is an assistant professor in the Humanities and Communication Department and director of the Daytona Beach Writing Program. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in composition and rhetoric from Miami University (Ohio), where she was also a graduate assistant director of the award-winning Howe Center for Writing Excellence.
Dr. Martin studies best practices for integrating, teaching and evaluating writing in higher education. Her ongoing research investigates the ways that faculty development contributes to institutional and cultural change. She currently serves as assessment coordinator of the Sensemaking for Student Success project, funding by Lumina Foundation.
