Dr. Anatoly V. Streltsov is a professor in the Physics Department and a coordinator of the Bachelor of Science in Space Physics (BSSP) program. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Dartmouth College and a degree of a Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences in Radio Physics from IZMIRAN (Russia).

Dr. Streltsov specializes in modeling electromagnetic waves and plasma in the near-Earth space environment. His expertise lies in the development of comprehensive, multidimensional computer models describing the electromagnetic coupling between the Earth's ionosphere and magnetosphere and interactions between the electromagnetic waves and energetic particles in the Earth's radiation belts. His research has been supported with multiple grants from NSF, NASA, DARPA and the U.S. Air Force.

Before joining Embry-Riddle, Dr. Streltsov served as a research associate professor at Dartmouth College, a scientist at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, DC, and a senior research associate at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM.

Dr. Streltsov is an internationally recognized specialist in the fields of space plasma physics and electromagnetic waves. He is the author and co-author of 1 book, 100 papers, and more than 250 presentations at professional meetings and conferences around the world. Dr. Streltsov was chair and organizer of several international science teams at the International Space Science Institute (ISSI), Bern, Switzerland. In 2016-2017, he was a recipient of the U.S. Department of State Fulbright Scholar Award for conducting research and organizing collaboration with space-related organizations in Kazakhstan.

Dr. Streltsov is a member of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) and the International Union of Radio Science (URSI).
