Offered at the Prescott Campus
The Bachelor of Science in Forensic Biology, housed in the Department of Biology and Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences, provides you with a foundation in biology, chemistry and law. You'll complete the necessary coursework to become a certified molecular biologist or chemist by the through examination upon graduation. You will also accrue all of the prerequisite courses to continue into medical, dental, graduate or law school.
At the Prescott Campus, you’ll work in four state-of-the-art laboratories equipped with professional tools and guided by experienced forensics experts. In the Forensic Crime Scene Investigation Lab, you’ll collect evidence and investigate crime scenes. In the Forensic Biology Lab, you’ll conduct tissue sampling and DNA analysis. Prescott’s small campus atmosphere creates an ideal learning environment in which you'll interact closely with faculty and have opportunities to complete undergraduate research in specialized subject areas. Travel to the annual national (AAFS) conference with faculty is highly encouraged and a great opportunity to network by meeting people in the field, which can lead to internship and job offers.
