Biography
From 1979 to 2007, Dr. Benno D. Hoffmann enjoyed his career with Hamburg Airport LLC, Germany. For more than 40 years, Dr. Hoffmann has been practicing law as an independent attorney at law. His professional experience during his entire career included solving judicial issues in and off the court, and negotiating labor issues with works councils and union representatives. For the last 10 years of his career with Hamburg Airport LLC, Dr. Hoffmann's most challenging task involved restructuring the airport from a divisional company into a profit center-based group with 10 legally unbundled subsidiaries. He also had a role in partly privatizing Hamburg Airport LLC as an internal change agent, as well as founding, leading and restructuring two 100% subsidiaries of Hamburg Airport LLC as managing director. In the latter role, only shareholder and supervisory board prerogatives limited his power of discretion. Since April 2012, Dr. Hoffmann has taught graduate and undergraduate courses for Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide and the Asia Campus in Singapore as an adjunct assistant professor.
