²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ and representatives from the (USNCC) recently met to further strengthen their ongoing partnership.
The USNCC partnership supports and serves active-duty sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen and Coast Guard reservists through world-class education programs tailored to meet the demands of the naval operating forces.
“The success of our partnership with the U.S. Naval Community College continues to grow,” said Dr. John Watret, chancellor of Embry-Riddle’s Worldwide Campus. “We are deeply honored to provide education opportunities to the service men and women, and the recent visit to our Worldwide Campus headquarters by USNCC leadership reinforced the commitment and support of this partnership. We look forward to continued growth and collaboration.”
USNCC President Dr. Randi Reich Cosentino led a delegation that met with university leaders and toured Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach Campus.
“The U.S. Naval Community College greatly values our partnership with ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ, a truly exceptional partner in advancing educational opportunities for our sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen,” Cosentino said. “Their unique focus on aviation, aeronautics, and emerging technology helps our students stay at the forefront of their fields. Our recent health-of-partnership visit to the Daytona Beach Campus reinforced the strength of our collaboration and our shared commitment to student success, innovation and service.”
The USNCC delegation also included Dr. Ashley Gleiman, associate provost of Policy & Accreditation and acting director of Consortia; Dr. Mrim Boutla, vice provost of Academic and Student Success; and Thomas Robertson, associate dean of Emerging Programs.
Embry-Riddle is one of just eight USNCC partners. More than 1,400 students are currently affiliated with the partnership, which offers four associate degree programs with embedded Embry-Riddle and NAVAL certificates. Tuition, books, materials and graduation fees are funded by USNCC.
The USNCC Consortium was established to engage institutional partners of the new organization founded by the secretary of the Navy in 2019. Colleges and universities are selected as consortium members to deliver cost-effective and scalable higher education programs that are transferable to four-year academic institutions and readily accessible to a globally deployed maritime workforce.
For nearly four years, the partnership has provided affordable, accessible and transferable higher education to maritime service members on land and at sea, across the U.S. and around the world.
